My wife has been going for years, but since Huntsville Hospital took over, the cost has gone through the roof. HH with their "facility fees" is RIDICULOUS!!! I have complained to BC/BS but to no avail. A pain shot that used to cost us $135 out of pocket is now over $1000. A recent visit to have her prescriptions refilled where she saw the PA, the bill to BC/BS for "facility fees" was $852.00, this on top of what the doctor billed. BC/BS needs to audit this place!!!! We will never go back!!!!!
I called for two days trying to cancel an appointment. I called at least six times and waited on the line for up to ten mins. and the staff still didn't answer the phone. This stucks when you have a busy life and don't have time to constantly call and continue to hold on the phone just to notify the doctor's office that you would like to cancel your appointment! I end up having to call the insurance line just to get my appointment canceled and rescheduled. This office needs more staff!!
Dr. Collins and his staff are wonderful and appear to really have my health issues and pain level in mind when caring for me.
Great doctors and nurses, but their office staff is absolutely HORRIBLE! I have worked many years in medical offices and I do not know how these people keep their jobs! Anytime that I call (whether it's to get information regarding medication, a prescription, or a question for my doctor) I'm on hold for at least 15 minutes. When someone finally gets to the phone, they are rude, short, and unprofessional. These staff members have lied to me, given me misinformation, and made my experience so much more stressful. Once I had a very urgent issue to discuss with my doctor and the woman on the phone IGNORED me. I had to ask "Hello? Is anyone there?" and she just sighed and said she'd give the doctor my message. The next day I called (after never getting a return call) and the woman hung up on me! These people need to be fired!
The doctors and nurse practitioners are great. Only complaint is it takes too, too long for the office to answer the phones. Most times it's at least 15 minutes. This morning it was 22 minutes.
