Well kept village with excellent knowledgeable volunteers. I would suggest this trip for everyone young an old.
This is always a great place to learn about some of the south&alabama.at christmas it was santas village.spring&fall they show bout cotton&how things made with cotton, writers, hunters, explorers and more can be heard about at different times.at times live entertainment.hands on learning for the children.there are horse drawn carriage rides, book stores, coffee shop, library near by&also the famous big spring.a great educational experience for the entire family.
Came for Santa's Village. Wish there was a little bit more to do than photo ops but it was fun for my son.
The kids love Santa's village. It's been the same for nearly two decades but you can't complain for a cheap night out with kids. Outside of Christmas I like going for lessons of history about the city. Great history lesson but boring if you're not interested in that kind of stuff. Not much for "hands on learning."
I accompanied my daughter on a field trip here. The Santa’s Village has a sign that says “Slaves Quarters.” The manager stated “We usually cover it up.” This was an extremely insensitive response and Me, along with several parents were all offended. This is a child friendly place and definitely wasn’t the time for me to explain a horrible time in history. I will be making a formal complaint. We will not be returning.
