After first calling, seemed like a decent group. However, after meeting, phone calls, and emails with a buyer's agent...did not have a good feeling or experience.
As there was no buyer's agreement in place, we simply moved on and we're able to find a much better buyer's agent. Definitely would not look at them again, at least when purchasing.
Originally, I was very pleased with Amanda Howard. This was my first home purchase and my realtor was very polite and helpful. However, the day I received my keys to my new home, I went to find that the previous owners left a HORRID flea infestation. After almost two months of not being able to move anything in, $400 in flea remediation, and numerous unanswered attempts to Amanda Howard I am more than unhappy. I reached out to three separate people at Amanda Howard to see if there was any way I could hold the previous owners responsible for just half the cost, but even after month of trying to contact Amanda Howard and being told I would get a call or email back, I have still yet to hear ANYTHING back. I even mentioned that I would be interested in putting the property back on the market as I was extremely frustrated at this point, but still not a word from Amanda Howard. I understand my situation is not common, however, I wanted others to be aware of this company; they will take your money and then ignore your calls.
They sent us one list of houses, which appeared to be same ones we found on Valley MLS, that weren't really within the criteria given.

Maybe our price wasn't high enough, who can say. But the feeling we got was "we don't really want your business but won't just flat out say so". They seemed to have no interest at all.

I have used Amanda Howard Real Estate now twice in a very short time. My dad bought a house and then we had to quickly sell it due to having to transition him to Assisted Living. They have been gracious and generous in unexpected ways and my realtor, Carl Thomas, is a gem ! He responds quickly and advises me so wisely. Others in the office do a great job emailing all the documentation that needs reviewing and signing. A very efficient process and kind people too!!
The agent avoided questions about commission, didn't wish to discuss entering into a buyer's agreement, and just seemed shady. Also the agent did not seem to have any interest in actually working for us or caring to find a home.
