The Captain
Great music teachers here. Our son has been taking keyboard lessons here for 3 years. We've liked it so much that we signed up our younger daughter now for guitar. Nice folks who work great with kids and know how to teach.

Interesting place, reasonably friendly people.
Excellent, Great customer service, you get what your item is worth selling for. Don't expect to make full price. I read the reviews below and was very hesitant about going to trade in some guitars and equipment for a Taylor and that was all I wanted. It wasn't a high end Taylor, but it was what I thought would be a fair trade. Once I got there, I was treated like a VIP customer with respect towards me and my equipment. I was allowed to look around while they totaled the value of my items. They look at certain reports and what items are selling for. Obviously you are not going to get what the total value of the item is because they have to make money. I would say I brought in double what they gave me and I was very, very happy. I got more than the amount of money I told them I would be happy with, in fact I got the amount of money plus 400 more dollars than I was expecting. I got the Taylor I wanted and 2 other guitars to spend in the store that day. I have since called up to get a receipt for what they paid me for each individual item and they were very respectful. I was not expecting full price, I know how businesses work, they don't try to cheat you, but they have to make money or none of us would be in business. I wasn't cheated. The items I traded, I no longer used but were in good condition and they gave me more than expected, after reading the below reviews. I think if you go in there and don't expect to get the cost of the item you are bringing, you will be very happy. Look on ebay and see what your used items are going for, they are not selling. You should be happy if you go in there and get what is about 65% of what the items are selling for on ebay, if they are selling, if they are just listed and not selling, well, you get what they give you and I was very happy. I came out with 3 guitars that I now play and took in 4 guitars, amp and a few pedals that I did not play anymore. I did really well in my book and if they sell those items, they will come out about with what they gave me on profit. Remember they have overhead and all to cover. The respect and customer service was overboard. I will trade in more, and remember that I don't expect full price on what I'm bringing. They have to get an A+ in my book.
I have to agree with Ben. I purchased a bass from them and they would not even set the action and intonation. So I bought the extra warranty guarantee dealyo. The jack was bad, but they would only replace it for a minimum 40$ service fee plus parts. You would think a new guitar warranty would cover a bad jack discovered in two days! I have never bought a guitar anywhere they would not setup the guitar the way you wanted it (simple action and intonation fix.) The sales person was specifically a bass player, but he had no idea what he was doing. He handed me a bass and said it was a Fender MIJ (Made In Japan.) It was actually a MIK (Made In Korea) bass. He didn't know anything about wood, pickups, etc. His response was that it was probably just like the other Fender basses. So here's the deal. No one on the floor knows anything about basses. The selection is horrible. Noisy, yes to the point of mental breakdown. Respect for the customer, not there. The kind of guitar store you like (and are used to) doing business with, no way. I'm hoping it will put some price competition on the other dealers, but I will buy from other dealers. Huntsville Alabama Guitar Center is not worthy of your business or your money. Professionals will just freak out that they don't know or care more about any musician, much less working ones. In other departments, YMMV. Bass Players, go anywhere else! I have found Nashville to be the same way. Montgomery and B'Ham are better Guitar Centers and I hope Chattanooga is as well.
Fine classes and teachers. Got cancelled on a lot by the teacher though which left me with almost 20 lessons left over. They said i could go in any guitar center anyway and get lessons with the left over hours. I go back a few months later and they basically said nope changed the system cant do it. Cost me hundreds of dollars
