Mimi has been doing my nails for years and she is a blast. I just had a mini makeover by Tori and her color job is just beautiful. They are open late and accept walk-ins.
Also as I checked out (which I was charged full price) then lady behind me was really upset as well. NOT a good business setting
I have had a very hit-or-miss experience at Mimi and Tom's Day Spa. I have been 4 times, 2 were great experiences, 2 were not. The first was a full set of french manicure nails and the gentleman who did them did a great job and I was very happy. The next time I went in a got the same thing done, they were terrible; they were not clean, and they broke off after a very short time, not lasting anywhere near as long as the first set.
I had 3 different people work on my pedicure because the first lady was actually a hair stylist and was doing my pedi when her appt showed up. Then the owner (im assuming) yelled at her in front of everyone to get to her hair appt then she left me with the front desk worker to continue my pedi, then the front desk worker had to go somewhere (who knows) then the owner (im assuming again) stop in the middle of her pedicure came over did a quick french tip on my toes.
Love it go there all the time love the quality love me some meme she is the best hands down
The website makes this place look like a real spa. When I walked in I was horrified. It's dusty, dirty and disgusting. Also, no customer service. They want $24 for just a haircut, but $70 if you want them to wash it!!! Ridiculous. The chair I sat in was uneven and lopsided, so with equipment like that I am not sure how they expect even results. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL. In no way is this place a "spa", or luxurious like the website says!
I think those other good reviews were written by people who work there. My experience was terrible!
So you pay the same every time you go, but the service is very hit or miss and half the time not worth it! I plan to try a new salon next time.
Similarly, I have gotten a pedicure twice. The lady who did them the first time did a great job and they didn't chip for over a month. The lady who did them the second time scratched the side of my foot up with the pumice stone and the paint chipped off in LESS than a week. I wish I could remember these ladies names for this review.
