I found that the so many of the staff were willing to go so far above what their jobs required in order to help me. I was a minority at Drake, an HBCU, and I always felt like everyone was working for my success.
Practical training for practical jobs. This school is a very diverse place to learn. Every one is accepted as they are. This school will make you future proof. Success will come From your degree you obtain from Drake State Community &Technical College.
This college is probably underestimated when in comparison to other local competing colleges such as UAH and A&M. Don't get me wrong, those are great schools and I would definitely recommend them. But places like Drake tend to get overlooked because of no emphasis being put on learning vocations, trades, and occupations, in contrast to 4-year schools and careers. But we need vocations too. Also, Drake has career programs and an excellent educational curriculum. Drake has an excellent staff and professors that are eagerly willing to assist students. Tuition is very good. This is a good school. Hands down.
