I recommend Beauregard's - especially that sandwich.
The service was absolutely awful, though. The food has gotten worse. It's definitely sad for me to see a restaurant I loved so much change so dramatically but oh well.
I used to go to this establishment religiously. When it was located on Airport road, I went every other week and the food was always guaranteed to be hot and tasted amazing. The servers were always very attentive and friendly. They began to recognize me and I didn't even have to tell them my order; they knew.
Been going to Beauregard's what seems like 20 years. Wings are always consistent. Have to brag on the bartender for a second. Tasha always waited on me while the Jordan location was still open. When it was closed, and she moved to the Original Public House, I started going to Beau's on Airport. For 3 years, I didn't see her. I gave the new location a try, and sure enough, she is still tending the bar, and still knew what my regular order was. Tasha has always been great, remembered orders, smiled, greeted everyone. Wish I could get the same service at other establishments in Huntsville. You have a great one in Tasha.
The servers are friendly and attentive, unless it's totally packed. If you have a big group it may take 15 minutes to get your food. But it's usually worth the wait. They also have some beers on tap.
After coming home for break from college, I was informed they had moved locations and was now next to the Hollywood 18 theater. Of course, I went to get some of the best wings and french fries.
I've been eating at Beauregard's for about 20 years, I'd guess. I'm pretty much stuck one item: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I really love it with hot sauce and fries. I usually get it with blue cheese dressing, but sometimes with ranch. Boy, is it good! Their sweet tea is usually outstanding, too and my pals like their wings with really hot sauces - ouch!
Other than home cooked ones, these wings are some of the best I've had. Every time I go, the service is great and I never leave hungry. Tasha never fails and always treats me like I'm family. If you're in the area, definitely give Beauregard's a try. You won't be disappointed.
The waiter we had messed up the order--even after reciting it back to us and asking us to clarify three times-- and we were the only table in the restaurant at the time. The food was subpar at best. My girlfriend's chicken tenders were pretty bad. My wings had barely any meat on them and the fries were just OK.
I have been coming to Beauregard's for 10+ years. The franchise has been in decline for years. Beauregard's used to be a place to receive healthy portions for a modest budget. There used to be a time when drinks were served in large cups and ketchup bottles were placed on the tables. Furthermore, there was a time when someone could substitute fries for a good sized salad. Now the salad portions are miniature. I am no longer a regular customer of Beauregard's. I prefer to get my dollar's worth somewhere else.
