My kids especially love to come and play with the train or with the toys. It's a good environment and nice to have a Starbucks. Dropping one star because prices seem higher, in many cases, than I find elsewhere and bathrooms seem dirtier. So don't come if you need the restroom!
As for this particular store, it is very clean and well-organized on the inside. You can find almost anything on your own. Wide selection of books especially where history and paperback fiction is concerned. The media section is about 90% movies and TV; it seems that between this and the other B&N (in Jones Valley) they split up who sells what; the Jones Valley location predominantly sells music. It's not usually crowded; Friday night is probably the busiest time.
They are the best bookstore hands down. Relaxing environment, knowledgeable staff if they don't have it they will order it. They never ask questions about my service animal.
The only real drawback is moms who think it's a good idea to bring their noisy kids who understand nothing and wail constantly. This is encouraged by B&N's childrens section in the back of the store. Maybe I should be more patient but this can be extremely distracting while browsing.
One of my favorite spots in town.
Fun place to spend a couple hours. Prices are a little higher than average but you can get some good deals in the clearance section.
Where selection and bargain-priced books are concerned there is not a better place in Huntsville. In their bargain areas, chances are you will find a treasure for a very good price. Outside of bargain books, though, many books are practically a mortgage payment. I love to support brick-and-mortar establishments, but if Barnes and Noble doesn't figure out a way to make prices more reasonable on regular stock, online book markets are going to drive them out of business.
Great bookstore give and love the coffee. Not an official Starbucks so you can't use your Starbucks card or points and messes up your dashes. Also ladies restroom was DISGUSTING. I'm talking it smells like a port-o-potty...actually worse than the last one I was in. There was toilet paper, hair, and commode seat covera all over the floor, and the floor looked like it hasn't been mopped in a week.
