I went in for the first time, and they had everything I wanted and a lot of it was the same or better than Amazon's price.
I love this store. They have wonderful Bible studies and music along with a great selection of Bibles. The staff is very helpful and wants to help you grow in Christ! What a blessing to have this store in our town!
I will never go into Lifeway again. I cannot believe the experience I had there. I went in on Monday to find a study bible. The lady was very helpful in helping me find a good study bible. I purchased the Life Application Bible. I wanted my name on it. She told me it would be ready on Wednesday (today) by 4pm. I went in at 4pm. The same lady saw me, greeted me, and went to go get my bible. Then she came back out and told me she accidentally wrote the 4th on the paper so it's not ready but she will have someone do it for me immediately (she was leaving work). So I waited about 15 minutes for someone to put my name on it. He came out and showed me the Bible. It's a light pink bible. It had greasy finger prints and dirt all over it, leaving some scuff and marks. I tried to wipe it off but it would not come off. Then he tried to say the dirt and scuffs are in the leather of the Bible. I went to get another bible to show him it's not. I asked if there was anything he could do. He very rudely responded that he could not do anything because he's just the printing guy. I asked to speak with a manager. He pointed to a lady at the cash register who was doing a t shirt order for another lady. I waited patiently for her to finish. It took her nearly twenty minutes to finish. So the guy asked her if she could help really quick. She was very rude and tried to whisper something to him under her breath WHILE I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE!!! I tried to explain the situation to her and she very rudely cut me off to start speaking to another customer. When she was done with that she asked me what did I want. I asked her if there was anything she could do? I even asked to get a replacement bible. She offered me a gift card or I could come back tomorrow with my receipt and speak to the store manager. I really cannot believe I waited in that store for almost an hour just to be treated with such poor customer service and to leave so upset and dissatisfied.
