The food here is amazing and the beer selection is pretty great. The folks working there are friendly and the service is prompt. The sound quality is good and it's a decent sized venue but the price for a ticket to see mostly local acts is really high. They'd get a lot better turnout for the unknown type bands if the pricepoint were a bit lower.
Sidetracks has a varied selection of bands (local / traveling, and different styles of music). The venue's sound quality is pretty impressive without being stupidly overwhelming as is common. My guess is the venue can hold 200 but 60-80 is a comfortable fill with dancing available.
Offers live music, which is great. I had fun seeing Hawthorne Heights here. But, it's definitely not the best of locations. They have many acoustic issues. The sound really doesn't carry well inside the building. Due to the nature of the building, the bass is overwhelming. Expect to not hear any words to sing along to.
Come early for surprisingly excellent food, and stay late for live music. It is a music venue, so expect a cover charge on occasion. There is a patio bar for the smokers, and inside is non smoking. Good service, too!
This was my first visit to Sidetracks but certainly not the last. This non-smoking venue has a lot going for it. There's a good beer selection though prices were a little high. $20 for two local beers and onion rings was a bit steep. In their defense, the onion were very tasty.
Great local music venue. Loved the staff and the facility. Fair pricing and wonderful food. The pickles, are incredible.
