I detest their pricing/marketing gimmick: Buy 1 suit and get 1 free. Hey guys, nobody gives away free suits! It's like saying buy one Toyota Camry for $79,999 and get one free! When you pay twice for the first suit, the second suit is NOT FREE. Any one left out there who still does simple math?
Do not go to the location on university drive. Service is very bad...they do not care for anything when it comes to customer service. Reflects the management.
I worked in retail for 24 years. I can promise you that the buy 1 and get 1 free is a ploy. They average the price of the 2 suits to determine the price they really want for the pair. Then, they simply mark up the first suit so they can "give away" the other one. It's a way to take the customer who comes in looking for 1 suit and sell him 2. For example, you have two suits you need to sell for $420 each (full retail price). You mark them up to $849 each. Then throw in a buy 1 get 1 "free" offer. You sell two suits for full retail price but dupe the customer into thinking he got something free. Nearly everyone does this. JC Penny tried to stop the charade several years ago and almost went broke with straight pricing. In this ad-driving economy, shoppers look for "bargains." Retailers are like magicians, they have to make "bargains" appear out of nowhere. However, nobody could stay in business selling two items for the price of one. There aren't those type of margins in clothing, believe me.
The staff here is friendly, but seem far less enthused about suits and don't quite have quite the appreciation for the sartorial arts as other locations I have been. They are helpful, and always courteous. The selection in the store is decent.
