His receptionist, Linda, was always polite and thorough. Tonya shared the same qualities.
Considering he had a plethora of patients and a cubic ton of increased paperwork thanks to the ACA, he always took the time to hear us out without letting us mindlessly drone on for hours. He is direct and to the point without being rude. That's what a doctor should be. He provides and/or recommends not only medical treatment, but still provides patient care. The latter is an element in medical practice that is fading in recent years, so it was always refreshing to see it thriving in Dr Englert's office.
He, and his staff, definitely deserve the positive reviews and any accolades they receive.
I have used Dr Englert as my primary care physician for years. I love that he does not over prescribe medication for me. He genuinely cares about his patients. I had an accident 6 months ago and have gone to him for second opinions after seeing my other doctors. As for the person that says he will only take a new patient you if you are well... that's normal for most doctors unless you're going to an urgent care or ER. Any time you go to a new primary physician they want to do a wellness visit first. The office staff is amazing. They are always helpful when I have questions.
A couple of years later, he correctly diagnosed me after Crestwood's ER staff sent me home on a wrong diagnosis. Additionally, he recommended I NOT have the triple fusion on my lower back that the specialist said I needed and instead suggested LESI treatments and physical therapy. That was 10 years ago and, while I have had some moments where an anti-inflammatory steroid was needed, I have enjoyed an active life without surgery.
I would have to disagree with the comment on the office staff. They were very polite. Dr. Englert listened intently to my ailments. Actually recoommended over the counter medicine on this instance and it worked. Another visit, i just had a sinus infection and the office staff was able to schedule me with an express visit. Basically, you go for one ailment and diagnosis and that is it. Great program to get in and out quick and to get a prescription to clear up a cold quickly! Very knowledgable doctor!
Dr Englert has been my physician for over 20 years. Over that period of time he has been great at diagnosing my problems including the need for a heart stint. Highly recommend
Dr Englert has taken me from a nearly broken soul and provided me with the means and information needed to navigate back into a reliable and healthy guy - I've gone through some seriously yucky health issues both physical and emotional ( not psychiatric lol ) and Dr Englert ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME To unravel my screwed up life. Today I am a TOTALLY different person , awesome career , extreme sport enthusiast ( skydiver ) and overall a very healthy and very happy individual - it's AMAZING what excercise , eating healthier , drinking water , staying clear of sugar and following your doctors instructions will do for you. My biggest lesson ? The Dr is not a magician , he is your confidant and provides you with the tools necessary to manage your own health. Anyone rating the doctor under 5 stars is simply not following the plan and is blaming there shortcomings on others - simply stated .... Dr Englert will be more than happy to help you but will totally expect you to meet him halfway - as it should be.
I love Dr. Englert's office and would recommend him to anyone.
The express visits Dr Englert offers are golden. Our wait times, with appointments, never exceeded 30 minutes. Regular office visits were the same.
In 1997, he literally saved my wife's life. He correctly diagnosed her problem after the doctors in Huntsville Hospital's ER told her to take Tylenol. Had she not had that emergency surgery, she would have most likely died in a matter of days.
Dr Englert was the primary care physician for my wife and I from 1996 through 2011 when we moved out of state. For over over a decade he treated everything from our basic winter sickness to more serious matters.
