Our experience at Bassett was great! My wife and I have been looking for a kitchen table to put in our new house for the past several weeks. We had tried several local furniture stores with no luck; we would like a table and hate the chairs. We would find chairs we liked but they were part of a set with an ugly table. When we went to Bassett, I didn't know what to expect, but then we met Jana. She was incredibly polite and helpful. She explained to us that we could customize the table and chairs to our liking. As soon as we started through the process, we knew we had found the place for us. To top it all off, we ended up customizing a sectional sofa setup to fit out needs in our new living room too. Jana walked us through the planning process including mapping out our living space and showing us how everything would fit proportionally within our house. Seeing it mapped out like that really helped make the decision to buy easy. The only small downside is having to wait for our customized order to be ready but if it turns out the way it was planned, we will be 100% happy customers. At no point in the process did I feel pressured to into buying/selecting something I didn't want. Jana offered suggestions and advice but was respectful in knowing that everyone's tastes are different. If you want to find something you'll love and not just like, Bassett may very well be the place for you!
The custom furniture they have is very pricey, but I got exactly what I wanted. It is beautiful. Sales lady Stephanie was awesome in helping me coordinate it all. Delivery guys did a great job too...very careful and deliberate as they moved the old out and the new in.
I love shopping at Bassett. Working with management and designers in the store is always a pleasure. I recently purchased a beautiful leather sofa and it has upgraded the look my entire living room. Also bought a new mattress for my son...it is so comfortable. I could not be more pleased with my purchases and the advice and recommendations from Bassett team members. From purchase to delivery I highly recommend Bassett Furniture.
Great furniture marred by a frustrating sales experience. The sales people would typically pressure a sale. Answering questions about their online products, doing a special order, or providing price comparisons of alternative options all seemed to challenge their competence. We have multiple Bassett pieces because of their quality but every other sales experience results in a frustrated walk-out.
My husband and I just walked in "to look around", and they do NOT let you do that here! The sales woman chased us around the store, trying to tell us about it being a sustainable business, the leather collection, and how the furniture is constructed, 4 feet behind us the entire time. Had to walk out and refuse her card just to get away!!!!!
