I was pleased with my experience and the staff was very helpful. Loved the 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid that I drove. As I walked to my car I saw that they had a nice selection of newer vehicles.
My reservation was a drive Happy deal for a compact or larger car. The representative stated they usually only have compact cars for those. So I ended up paying for a larger car.
Well, Alamo, you asked and I provided. I would definitely use Alamo again. Just look out for my friend at the reception counter.
Be careful! I was talked into an upgrade and the total cost was $130.00 for one day! The upgrade was suppose to be $25.00 but they failed to tell me that daily rate changed to a higher rate, too. I thought I was paying $25.00 more on my original reservation price ---which ended up to be $70 more! Yikes!
Alamo has now emailed me twice to provide feedback on my experience (July 18, 2017 3pm)...well, I'll let them know. However, they might not be happy. Initial reservation was fine, actually getting the car and returning the car I experienced very helpful people. But the woman at the counter that checked me in...that's another story. Immediately upon walking up, I could sense that I was taking the representative away from something else she would rather be doing, even though there were no other customers. There was nothing friendly about this person. She didn't explain any of what I was initialing and signing. But my favorite part was the end - she told me to go out in the garage and get my car. I turned and pointed outside saying "so right in there?" She said yea and then turned and mumbled under her breath. I began to turn away and realized she had issues with my question. I turned around and asked, "I'm sorry, did you say something?" She said "No" I asked "Are you sure, because it sure sounded like you had something to say". She said "No" again and turned away. I left there thinking, is this what folks are like in Huntsville? No there not, but SHE needs remedial training in customer service. Although, I don't think you can change her attitude with training.
I love Alamo and the Alamo team members of HSV!!! Always courteous and knowledgeable. I have never been disappointed when I come to visit Huntsville for a visit! There is no better place to rent a car from than Alamo! I am forever a fan!!!
