I love, love, love Big Spring Park. It is such a beautiful spot in the city and there is always something interesting going on - even if it's just watching other people enjoy the place. A couple of weekends ago they had Jazz in The Park which made for a delightful atmosphere. The walking path is very nice and wide and watching the fish and ducks while you stroll is so relaxing. There are plenty of benches and places to buy pellets to feed the fish and birds, which is nice. The fountain is such a beautiful feature to sit and watch, and the colored lights and smaller fountain across the street is beautiful too. There is lots of green space and the museum and restaurant on the same grounds as the park make for a full day of activity. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful spot. It is great for all ages and physical abilities.
Beautiful places all year round. Tensile Trail and ice skating in the winter, duck and fish feeding all year round. Always great for walking on dates. My parents even almost got married in the gazebo. My best friend got engaged at the fountain. The picture is me with one of the Christmas trees at the Tensile Trail this year.
Great park and pet friendly. A few restaurants within easy walking distance. Outside dining available in those places. This is a great park. I love this spot.
Always something happening in this beautiful park. Movie night, ice skating, food truck festival, art shows, concerts. You name it. And always love feeding the ducks and fish. (Please don't bring food they have dispensers for 25c)
An oasis in downtown Huntsville. There is a lot to see and do in the area. The park itself is pretty. It has a large pond with fountains and decorative structures. There are ducks, geese, and koi in the pond. The museum of arts and the Von Braun Center are right near the park. There are a lot of other things, such as restaurants, in the area, as well. There are plenty of events to checkout throughout the year, like NASA in the Park.
