John Hunt Park is a work in progress. There is a play area nesseled in the trees in the corner. It's a rather nifty play area that looks like a fort. For the most part JHP is just a good place to walk one's dog. However, stay tuned as JHP is set to be the prize of Huntsville!
Great place to take the kids on a sunny day.
Some of the playgrounds are well maintained but some need work. Even then, It's free of cost, you can go there whenever during the day; not sure if they have lights for night.
Needs more outside lightening, and landscaping but overall a nice area.
Park is in some disrepair, several doors or gates had been removed with screws jutting out where little ones could be hurt. One toddler swing was broken and the sandbox was more dirt than sand. There was no real break between the toddler are and the bigger kid area and it was easy for my toddler to get lost where I couldn't follow but hard to interest her in the anything more than the swings. Once upon a time it might have been fantastic. With some maintenance, it could be again.
Nice area to take your kids or pets to run and play. There's a playground area for kids, there's also Pokemon Stops for the pokemon fans. A little further down is the clubhouse with tennis courts.
