And lastly, the food is delicious. My favorite pizza on the menu is The Duncan, named after a local farmer who provides the restaurant with some of their meats and vegetables.
Second, the service is fantastic. On most visits I am lucky enough to get the same hostess, Jade, who has memorized my menu favorites and always greets me with a smile.
Pizza took about what I expected to get here, because I was helped after large families. But I did not have silverware, so before the waiter drops the pizza and runs I said I need silverware. So he said he would be right back with it. The guy proceeds to go in and out 3 or 4 times with drinks for other tables and checks (for people who got there after me). After 5ish minutes I just walk back inside and find some of my own silverware.
First, the location is beautiful. The outdoor seating faces the park where you can watch the ducks while enjoying your meal.
Their pizza is awesome. The crust is always delicious. I won't go into the details, but I know pizza crust, and these guys have it down to a science. Great toppings, great atmosphere, and great service (usually). I Love it!
If you enjoy Italian and have not tried Pane E Vino, you will not be disappointed. Some aspect of this quaint pizzeria will win you over.
Luckily, the waiter finally stopped by again right as I finished and was quick to bring me the check. I had no idea I would have spent close to 2 hours eating dinner alone on a Sunday evening.,
The pizza crust was awful, but the sauce was good. The crust was so dry and tasteless, I have had better frozen pizzas.
Well, do not ever come here alone. I walked in asking if I sat myself and the woman at the front desk said yes. She asked if I would like to sit outside, I said yes, and she said are you alone and I said yes. So I walked outside and sat down at a table. I waited probably about 15 minutes before I went inside and grabbed a menu for myself - thinking maybe that was the key to getting helped.
I like to go here for lunch or dinner. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seats have a good view of the doctor's area and the duck pond. They serve fresh pizzas, paninis, and some Greek and Italian dishes. There is a reasonably good selection of beer and wine. It's located in the bottom floor of the art museum, and is accessible from the outside or by inside elevator.
But now whole families have been helped around me. So, maybe another 10 minutes go by, and I walk back in and find someone could bring me a water. Maybe 10 minutes later, some one comes and brings me water, he goes to walk away but I was like no I'm ready to order. So I order.
Nice venue....I am a pizza connoisseur......don't expect much here. It is edible....on the same level as something from the freezer. Their salad was good and house wine a great price. I recommend overall but just don't go expecting a quality pie.
