I was already in process of calling customer service and there was a 30 min hold time of which I informed them. She said you can call from outside the store and you will leave the store now (maybe I'm intimidating at a full 5'2). I said you will give me both your names & the corporate number and I'll happily leave. She said like I said you can call customer service and leave. Asked me to leave for I believe the 3rd & final time.
Anyway, I'll take this to the next level for sure. Absolutely Unacceptable.
This is the assistant manager, then the store manager I'm interacting with. I asked as a store manager: you don't have a $5 discretion to correct your stores mistake? She again rudely said not our mistake, with the fingers, and not the fault of anyone here - with the circular motion (ghetto motion for lack of a Better word/description for what she did). I said I own a business too. Any mistake from any employee anywhere, or from the company, you have to own it.
We love Children's place but I will order online. I do not enjoy going in this store. The staff have no professionalism, they do not greet you and barely tolerate you when you make a purchase. They need to work on their customer service and get new management.
Rude, unprofessional, racist. Was in there today about to make a $150 purchase and the associate snapped at me. I left my selected purchase on the counter and walked out. Amazing. This was the first time I had been in PPM this year and was walking between Dillard's and another store and saw children's clothes at this place. Never again. Get a hint. Nowadays, it's all about customer loyalty at brick-and-mortar stores and you blew it.
She asked me to leave the store. Omg ! Yes ! I asked are you kidding me ? You're throwing me out? Yes. I said thanks, great customer service.
I was like no that's very inconvenient it's not my fault as the customer. You shd remove the sensor, exchange it or just take the loss. (I reminded her these are maybe $5 pants, and there was a rack full Of the same pants right behind me).
So In CA (at this lovely store) they left a sensor on a cheap pair of uniform pants.
In a nut shell my interaction with 2 Caucasian employees at - the children's place.
Came to the mall in good old Huntsville to have it removed and they said there is nothing we can do; we have a different sensor. Call here, go there, go to another store. Blah blah blah. Call CA, where do you live. (Um here). Mind you there are no other stores here. She said I don't know how much you really paid, you don't have a receipt. (Or maybe IF I paid at all Is what I understood lol
RACIST, UNPROFESSIONAL, ABSURD
Wow. My basic instincts say this was fully was due to my hijab. Rude from the start. I'm not one to cry racism ever, I give people the benefit of the doubt & know some people are simply rude & incompetent and not necessarily a racist. This was different. They were different. There was a 3rd employee and another customer who's eyes all said I'm so FREAKIN sorry!
They were - Very unusually rude from the start. Saying not "our" fault. Even snapping or some finger motions in the air at one point, to which I asked her not to do that to me again.
Love this store. The staff is helpful and the clothes are quality.
