The park also has some trails and a wide open space to have picnics and barbecues! I would definitely recommend it for anyone!
An amazing experience is all I have got to say about this beautiful place. I'm surprised places like this exist in our little peaceful city. It is a very good place to hike and bike and also camp- though I have never camped here before.
Great little park with very clean cabins. Close proximity to town if you choose to go in to Huntsville for the day. Nice selection of trails to walk or bike. We reserved online and luckily got a cabin that had probably the best view in the park. Staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. Staff at checkout not so much, and act like they were bothered to walk over to the window and get the key.
Lots of trails. My kids love the slides at the play grounds. Historical cabins make for a great get away. Groceries can be purchased at the base of the mountain at star grocery.
If you are looking for a good place to chill out from all that work stress, then this is the place. The view is panoramic and breathtaking! Suddenly you will feel like you have wandered into an Indian tropical forest or a cool hill-station for that matter
I love hiking up here. I've been taking my daughter to Monte Sano since for years. We always enjoy getting to look over the mountain and spend time in the outdoors. It's such a peaceful place to go and I love seeing all the families out there together too.
We took our family here to see the fall foliage. The views were beautiful. We also hiked on a few of the trails and let the little ones Andy the huge playground. There is a nice campground with huge tent sites. I would defiantly recommend visiting and spending some time here. I plan on going again and spending more runs here.
